philosophy   staff   facility   services Sangeeta Patel grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. She graduated from M.S. University, India with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy in 1989. She practiced physical therapy in Nairobi for 2 years before she was recruited to Chicago in 1991. Sangeeta is a certified American Physical Therapy Association clinical instructor and has been practicing in various acute care, rehabilitation and outpatient facilities in the Chicago area since 1991. From 1998 through 2001 She was the orthopedic senior physical therapist at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Care Network. Sangeeta has been with Excel since our inception in 2001 and serves as the Clinical Coordinator responsible for the physical therapy program. Siva Menon grew up in Singapore and Australia and graduated in 1993 from Curtin University, Australia with a degree in Physiotherapy. Siva has been a licensed physical therapist in Illinois since 1994, working in a variety of clinical settings. He was a Senior Physical Therapist, Brain Injury Team Leader and Research Program Coordinator at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Care Network where he worked for seven years. Siva joined the Excel team in early 2004. He is certified in performing Functional Capacity Evaluations and oversees the Physical Ability Testing program. Anna Solawa grew up in Poland and lived there for 18 years before moving to the United States. She has completed two associates' degrees, one from Morton College certifying her as a Physical Therapy Assistant, and also a science degree from Daley College. Anna attained her bachelor's degree in Health Science from St. Francis University in Joliet, and is currently completing her master's degree in physical therapy at Findlay University in Ohio. Anna started working part-time at Excel when we opened in November 2001 and she is fluent in Polish. Guillermina Montalvo has been a practicing Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant since 1997. After having received an associate's degree in applied science from Morton College, Guillermina has worked in various clinical settings. Her background includes outpatient, sub acute, long-term care (where patients may have multiple medical conditions) and acute rehabilitation where she specialized in spinal cord injuries. Guillermina joined the Excel staff in 2004. She is a credentialed clinical instructor and is fluent in Spanish. Lionell Siert was born and raised in South Dakota. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1993 with a degree in Athletic Training. He moved to Chicago that fall and has been employed as the Head Athletic Trainer at Reavis High School in Burbank since 1993. Lionell joined Excel in 2004 where he provides a wide range of services for our clients and patients. As an avid runner, Lionell often competes in local running events and enjoys all types of sporting activities either as a spectator or a participant.
